Phad Thai "Pad-a-Thai-Eye-Party"

Phad Thai ‘Pad-a Thai-Eye’ Parties, initiated by Lotus Design, are a unique and popular way of raising funds for the People Eye Care Foundation to help pay for cataract operations for poor people in rural parts of Thailand. Guests are asked to make a donation of 1,500 baht for the chance to enjoy a simple and popular Thai dish (Phad Thai noodles) at an exclusive private party in beautiful and elegant locations such as, the gardens of the Siam Society and the residence gardens of the British Embassy. The dish, prepared by street-style vendors, is served with either a glass of chilled Thai white wine or a refreshing Thai beer. Entertainment throughout the evening is provided by musicians from the School for the Blind playing Thai classical and folk music and guests can enjoy a relaxing neck and shoulder massage from the School for the Blind masseurs.
Once costs have been covered, funds raised by the Phad Thai parties are donated to the People Eye Care Foundation and the School for the Blind.
